I won the Columbus Travel Nature Photo of the Year Award

I Just won the Columbus Travel Magazine Nature Photo of the Year Award! I’ve won a trip to Nepal together with one of their editors and Airbnb Adventures to capture a story for the Columbus Travel Magazine!

After hearing that I was nominated for this award together with 2 other contenders in January, today (18th of February 2020) was the big ceremony night.
I was nominated in this category next to Marcel van Dalen en Patty Mudde. I actually never expected to win this, both contenders had great photos and deserved it as well.

It’s a great honour to win this, never expected and it feels great to receive this appreciation for my work. I want to thank the Columbus Team, the Columbus Community, Airbnb and Turkish Airlines for the great price. Also I want to thank my girlfriend Lotte for always being there and supporting me on our amazing trips.

Photographer Pie Aerts was hosting the night together with Mark Mackintosh from Columbus Travel. A lot of other awards were given out this night.
